07/13/2018 - Floodplain Management: Located in
SFHA zone AE 8 with a design flood elevation (DFE)
of 9 feet NGVD. This is a Post FIRM SFR at the
correct elevation. The lower enclosure was
inspected under the NFIP program in 2005 and
deemed compliant. Plans show a window is to be
replaced in the lower enclosure. A 157 (FEMA
compliance) inspection is required to be performed
by the County (not a private provider) to
demonstrate that the lower enclosure remains
compliant, and this inspection will include a
detailed inspection with photos of the exterior of
the home as well as the inside of the ground level
enclosure. These photos must be forwarded to the
Floodplain office and approved prior to closing
this permit. Any nonconformity discovered will be
required to be corrected. This approval does not
deem to confer lawful status to any unpermitted
improvements on this parcel. Approval of this
permit does not guarantee future permits should
the structure be determined to be substantially
damaged, unless such permits addressed and
corrected any existing non-conformity - SM per MW
