THOUGH A/C REPLACEMENT WALK-THRUs (SAME FOR SAME)
ARE NOT REVIEWED BY THE ELECTRICAL PLANS EXAMINER,
COMPLIANCE WITH THE CURRENT ELECTRICAL CODES IS
REQUIRED. IF ELECTRIC IS TO BE UPDATED, AN
ELECTRICAL PERMIT WILL BE REQUIRED. THE MECHANICAL
INSPECTOR WILL BE LOOKING FOR COMPLIANCE WITH
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS AND IF HE FINDS ELECTRICAL
DEFICIENCIES, THEY WILL BE REPORTED AND ADDRESSED
ACCORDINGLY.
1. NEC REQUIRES THAT THERE BE A SERVICE RECEPTACLE
WITHIN 25 FEET OF THE CONDENSING UNIT. 2. IF THE
UNIT IS INSIDE AN ATTIC, THERE SHALL BE A LIGHT
AND AN OUTLET IN THE ATTIC.
ALL UNITS MUST BE OUT OF REQUIRED SETBACKS.
Though A/C same for same replacement walk-thru's
are not reviewed by the electrical plans examiner,
compliance with current electrical codes is
required. If the electric needs to be updated, an
electrical permit will be required.
The mechanical inspector will be looking for
compliance with electrical requirements and if he
finds electrical deficiencies they will be
reported and addressed accordingly. Hence: NEC
210.63 requires an outlet within 25 ft for
condensing unit.
NO TEMPERATURE CONTROL ALLOWED BELOW ELEVATED
BUILDING. ALL A/C COMPONENTS SERVICING THE
ELEVATED SFR MUST BE AT OR ABOVE THE BASE FLOOD
ELEVATION pursuant to sections 122-4(b)(1)d.5. and
122-4(b)(1)d.9

Structure is in an AE Flood Zone with Base Flood
Elevation (BFE) 12' NGVD29 per FEMA map panel 583K
as amended by LOMR. Design Flood is 13' NGVD29.
Permit 19400191 for AC replacement (In-footprint,
Like-for-Like) is approved with the following
conditions;
1. Approval is for the proposed scope of work and
plans ONLY. No other work on this permit.
2. Like-for-like, In-footprint replacement ONLY.
3. No other work on this permit.
Work in the right of way requires coordination
with the Monroe County Public Works & Engineering
Division. Work performed within the right of way
may require a separate permit or approval in
addition to a permit issued by the Monroe County
Building Department and /or the utilities. It is
the responsibility of the owner to obtain all
required permits before starting work. Failure to
obtain a right of way permit when required may
result in work stoppages or penalties.
