FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT CONDITIONS:Located in SFHA
zone AE 9. Pool/spa must be anchored to prevent
flotation, lateral movement or collapse during or
as a result of conditions of the base flood. Pool
equipment must be either: A. elevated and securely
anchored to prevent flotation and protected to
prevent water from entering or accumulating within
the components during conditions of flooding. OR
B. If not elevated, be anchored to prevent
flotation and protected to prevent water from
entering or accumulating within the components
during conditions of flooding. Unless properly
elevated, pool equipment may not be placed within
an enclosure under an elevated house. Lights and
machinery serving the pool and located below BFE
must be on own separate GFI protected circuit
breaker and clearly marked on electrical panel so
power can be disconnected in case of a flood
event.
SEC. 114-161.-MAXIMUM ILLUMINATION. ALL OUTDOOR
LIGHTING SHALL BE DESIGNED AND LOCATED SUCH THAT
THE MAXIMUM ILLUMINATION MEASURED IN FOOT-CANDLES
AT THE PROPERTY LINE SHALL NOT EXCEED THREE-TENTHS
FOOT-CANDLE FOR NON-CUTOFF LIGHTS AND 1.5
FOOT-CANDLES FOR CUTOFF LIGHTS.
SEC. 114-163.-WATERFRONT LIGHTING. ALL OUTDOOR
LIGHTING WITHIN 25 FEET OF ANY BODY OF WATER SHALL
BE CUTOFF LIGHTS AND SHALL NOT EXCEED 18 FEET
ABOVE GRADE.
POOL EQUIPMENT MAY NOT BE LOCATED UNDER SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENCE, UNLESS IT IS ELEVATED TO OR
ABOVE THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION.
ANY OPENINGS LEADING FROM RESIDENCE TO POOL MUST
BE EQUIPPED WITH AN ALARM SYSTEM.
GATES ON FENCES MUST BE SELF CLOSING AND SELF
LOCKING OR KIDS SAFE NET TO BE INSTALLED PRIOR
TO FINAL POOL INSPECTION.
Work in the right of way requires coordination
with the Monroe County Public Works & Engineering
Division. Work performed within the right of way
may require a separate permit or approval in
addition to a permit issued by the Monroe County
Building Department and /or the utilities. It is
the responsibility of the owner to obtain all
required permits before starting work. Failure to
obtain a right of way permit when required may
result in work stoppages or penalties.
