addition to a permit issued by the Monroe County
Building Department and /or the utilities. It is
the responsibility of the owner to obtain all
required permits before starting work. Failure to
obtain a right of way permit when required may
result in work stoppages or penalties.

storage, parking or entry only.

utilities allowed.***
Minimum electric only. Only one electrical outlet,
which must be GFI protected, is allowed below BFE.
Light switches must be water resistant and on its
own ground fault interrupt circuit breaker.
No temperature control allowed.
Walls must be vented in accordance with Monroe
County Floodplain Ordinance with a net opening of
1 square inch for every square foot of enclosed
space.
Enclosure must have a minimum of two openings on
separate walls having a net opening of not less
than one square inch per square foot of enclosed
space. The bottom of openings must be within 1
foot of adjacent grade. The entire opening must be
at or below BFE.
Enclosure may not exceed 299.00 square feet when
measured from finished exterior dimensions. Should
the final inspection demonstrate the enclosure
exceeds 299.00, permit will not be closed and
subject to code enforcement action until the
enclosure size is reduced.
Enclosure must be used solely for building entry,
limited storage and/or parking.
It cannot be used for habitation/living space of
any kind.
