FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT APPROVAL: Located in SFHA
zone VE 13 with a design flood elevation(DFE) of
14 feet NGVD
This manufactured home is nonconforming to current
elevation requirements as well as other sections
of the Monroe County Floodplain Ordinance.
Nonconforming structures are subject to the
Substantial Improvement/Substantial Damage
regulation(SI/SD)s, more commonly known as the 50%
rule. This structure was inspected for Substantial
Damage almost 4 years ago, on 10/31/17 and deemed
substantially damaged. Substantially damaged
structures are required to be brought into full
compliance with floodplain regulations found in
the Monroe County Floodplain Ordinance.
Residential structures must be elevated to or
above the design flood elevation as well as meet
all other applicable building and zoning codes.
This permit for various storm repairs in the
amount of $12,500 represents a 22.6% improvement
which is deemed nonsubstantial. The Building
Official has approved the cost breakdown and the
owner and contractor's affidavits are in file.
