2. NO WORK IN SHORELINE SETBACK THIS PERMIT. ALL
PORTIONS OF DECK TO BE LOCATED A MINIMUM OF 20
FEET FROM THE MEAN HIGH WATER LINE AT THE FACE OF
EXISTING DOCK.

FLOOD PLAIN MANAGEMENT APPROVAL:
Located in SFHA zone AE 9 with a design flood
elevation(DFE) of 10 feet NGVD
This is a Post FIRM SFR with a permitted
enclosure. Building Official has approved a
private appraisal with a depreciated building
value of $378,019. The enclosure was brought into
compliance in order to improve it in 2015.
However, there may be some nonconformities to this
structure that do not currently conform to the
current regulations. Nonconforming structures are
subject to the Substantial Improvement/Substantial
Damage regulations, more commonly known as the 50%
rule. This improvement in the amount of $203,760
is a 53.9% improvement and therefore substantial.
Since substantial improvements are treated the
same as new construction, all existing
nonconformities must be addressed. The elevated
part of the house is above the DFE. Any
nonconformities such as AC elevation or meter must
be corrected prior to closing this permit. The
following conditions apply:
1. Elevate any utility that services the home to
or above the design flood elevation of 10 feet
NGVD. This can include meters, condensing units,
water heaters, if any etc. Existing grade is at
3.5 feet so all components should be 6.5 feet
above grade or higher
2. A 157(FEMA compliance) inspection is required
to be performed by the County(not a private
provider) to demonstrate that this has been done,
and this inspection will include a detailed
inspection with photos of the exterior of the home
as well as the inside of the ground level
enclosure. These photos must be forwarded to the
Floodplain office and approved. Any nonconformity
discovered will be required to be corrected.
3.Prior to closing this permit a new finished
construction elevation certificate must be
submitted and approved by the Floodplain office.

MUST HAVE THE AFFIXED PERMANENT LABELS PROVIDED BY
THE PRODUCT APPROVAL HOLDER.

INSPECTIONS OR A CERTIFICATE, IF APPLICABLE.
APPROVED SITE SPECIFIC DESIGN PRESSURES AND
MANUFACTURE SPECIFICATIONS MUST BE ON SITE FOR
