PERMIT CONDITIONS

• NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT REQUIRED

• All documentations, including but not limited to
• corrections, revisions, clarifications, or
• engineering letters, must be submitted to an
• appropriate Building Department location.
• PERMIT APPROVAL FOR CONSTRUCTION OF 298 SQ. FT.
• "A"-ZONE LOWER ENCLOSURE, UNDER EXISTING SFR, PER
• APPROVED PLANS ONLY.
• FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT APPROVAL: Located in SFHA
• zone AE 12 with a design flood elevation(DFE) of
• 13 feet NGVD
• Flood approval for a 298 square foot AE zone
• enclosure for limited storage, parking or entry
• only. No habitation, finishes, plumbing,
• mechanical, utilities allowed. Minimum electric
• only. Only one electrical outlet, which must be
• GFI protected, is allowed below DFE. Light
• switches must be water resistant and on own ground
• fault interrupt circuit breaker. No temperature
• control allowed. All construction materials must
• be of a flood resistant material, ie. pressure
• treated wood etc. Enclosure must have a minimum of
• two openings on separate walls. The bottom of
• openings must be within 1 foot of adjacent grade.
• The entire opening must be at or below BFE.
• Enclosure may not exceed 299.00 square feet, when
• measured from finished exterior dimensions. Should
• the final inspection demonstrate the enclosure
• exceeds 299.00 square feet, the permit cannot be
• closed until the enclosure size is reduced.
• Enclosure must be used solely for building entry,
• limited storage and /or parking. It cannot be used
• for habitation/living space of any kind.
• An approved final enclosure inspection is required
• prior to closing permit by a Monroe County
• Inspector with photos provided to the Floodplain
• Coordinator for approval. All work on enclosure
• must be completed and the enclosure must be empty
• of all but permanent elements in order to be
• inspected. SFR permit #18105181 is still not CO'd.
• This enclosure construction should either not
• start until the CO is issued OR this enclosure
• should be completed before the Finished
• Construction Elevation Certificate is submitted
• under the SFR permit–MW
• ALL CONSTRUCTION BELOW BASE FLOOD MUST BE PRESSURE
• TREATED LUMBER (IF APPLICABLE).
• SOIL TREATMENT FOR TERMITES REQUIRED PER
• FBC 1816.1.7.
• PER THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE: ALL WINDOWS & DOORS
• MUST HAVE THE AFFIXED PERMANENT LABELS PROVIDED BY
• THE PRODUCT APPROVAL HOLDER.
• THE LABELS MUST NOT BE REMOVED PRIOR TO THE FINAL
• INSPECTIONS OR A CERTIFICATE, IF APPLICABLE.
• APPROVED SITE SPECIFIC DESIGN PRESSURES AND
• MANUFACTURE SPECIFICATIONS MUST BE ON SITE FOR
• INSPECTIONS.
• IF LABELS ARE REMOVED, THE INSPECTION WILL FAIL.
• ENCLOSURE MAY AFFECT HOME OWNERS INSURANCE.
• Work in the right of way requires coordination
• with the Monroe County Public Works & Engineering
• Division. Work performed within the right of way
• may require a separate permit or approval in
• addition to a permit issued by the Monroe County
• Building Department and /or the utilities. It is
• the responsibility of the owner to obtain all
• required permits before starting work. Failure to
• obtain a right of way permit when required may
• result in work stoppages or penalties.

• NO DEVIATIONS ALLOWED WITHOUT A REVISED PERMIT AND
• PLANS.
• ALL DEBRIS TO BE REMOVED TO A LEGAL DUMPING SITE.
• INSPECTIONS REQUIRED PER PERMIT CARD.
• NO OTHER WORK THIS PERMIT.
• DEEMED NON-DEVELOPMENT. DEO EXEMPT.
