FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT APPROVAL: Located in SFHA
zone AE 10 with a design flood elevation(DFE) of
11 feet NGVD. This is a post FIRM stilt SFR with a
nonconforming ground level enclosure. There is no
elevation certificate on file demonstrating the
elevated SFR is at the correct elevation.
Nonconforming structures are subject to the
substantial improvement/substantial damage
regulations, more commonly known as the 50% rule.
This permit in the amount of $103,801.50, combined
with the four other hurricane repair permits for
spalling, roof and demo (19103895, 19104166 and
19103398) total $156,801.5 and represent a 46.2%
improvement. Per our policy, any such repair or
improvement that exceeds 25% requires that the
contractor and owner submit a notarized affidavit
and cost breakdown for the work. Roof permit
already issued but there are affidavits and a cost
breakdown for the other three permits in this
file. Approved and deemed nonsubstantial. No work
authorized to ground level enclosure. Approval of
this permit does not guarantee future permits
should the structure be determined to be
