FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT APPROVAL: Located in SFHA
zone AE 10 with a design flood elevation(DFE) of
11 feet NGVD
This is a Post FIRM SFR at the correct elevation.
The ground level was permitted to have two garage
doors at the front and lattice around the entire
perimeter. No opaque or solid walls were
permitted.There may be some nonconformities to
this structure that do not currently conform to
the current regulations. such as meter elevation.
Nonconforming structures are subject to the
Substantial Improvement/Substantial Damage
regulations, more commonly known as the 50% rule.
This improvement in the amount of $160,000,
combined with roof permit 18103090 for $17,598
total $177,598 and represent a 59.1% improvement
which is substantial. Since substantial
improvements are treated the same as new
construction, all existing nonconformities must be
addressed. The elevated part of the house is above
the DFE. Any nonconformities such as AC elevation
or meter must be corrected prior to closing this
permit. The following conditions apply:
1. Elevate any utility that services the home to
or above the design flood elevation of 11 feet
NGVD. This can include meters, condensing units,
water heaters, if any etc. Per the elevation
certificate on file, grade elevation is 4.7 feet
so all utilities servicing the home must be at or
above 11 feet which is 6.3 feet above grade.
2. A 157(FEMA compliance) inspection is required
to be performed by the County(not a private
provider) to demonstrate that this has been done,
and this inspection will include a detailed
inspection with photos of the exterior of the home
as well as the ground level enclosure. These
photos must be forwarded to the Floodplain office
and approved. Any nonconformity discovered will be
required to be corrected.
3.Prior to closing this permit a new finished
construction elevation certificate must be
submitted and approved by the Floodplain office.

THE PRODUCT APPROVAL HOLDER. THE LABELS MUST NOT

CERTIFICATE, IF APPLICABLE. APPROVED SITE SPECIFIC
DESIGN PRESSURES AND MANUFACTURE SPECIFICATIONS
